The whole reason for working for Spiritualism is to help the bereaved and to give assurance that there is life after death.
The SNU is materialist, not spiritualist.
But I am aware of MANY people who see the SNU as their own private little club. I strongly suggest that if the SNU is to do its own weeding out of these career social climbers then they should employ the mystery customer principle!
Make yourself look poor or a little on the edge of society and wander into an SNU church. Then take note of the way you are treated by the snobbish, selfish people who end up on the committees.
The SNU has lost its way.
Got a spiritual message from a well respected, but now deceased president of the SNU, who is very unhappy with the way in which the SNU is now being run.
Spiritualism is for everyone and the longer the SNU put obstacles in the way of genuine people, the more their membership will dwindle.
Let's face it, the only reason the SNU have a large membership now is because everyone is scared to stand up to them, and opting out would prove detrimental.
