”After the film, I asked WHY the Indian and Chinese guys did not offer their help.”
This very thought was going through my mind too as I watched. Why didn’t he emphasise the fact that the Box Jelly Fish had stung him? The locals, surely, must be aware to the dangers of this Jelly Fish! I put it down to the way the documentary had been directed. This way it played more to the viewer’s emotions. Artistic licence I believe they call it!
We will never really know how the true story unfolded in that bar and outside in the street with the Taxi driver that night. But I do feel it was played down in the film.
“May be if the guy was not considered to be drunk or a drug addict, the story could have been different.”
Yes! Very interesting Thalia.
If the Taxi driver and the Chinese man had had been helpful then Ian wouldn’t have learned forgiveness.
All in all it’s a very interesting story. Even if he does over do the bible quotes!
