Some souls really go through very difficult time and manage to do the very best within the means available. That Chinese "half man" is an example for us. As a kid, I used to play vernons pool with my dad who made me pick up the numbers every now and then. Once he said to me "You never know and may be one day you can hit the jackpot and therefore do not have to work that hard !". He then made me read an article which was almost the same as the one you sent and told me not to make the same mistake as the woman in the story who now have only two dress to wear and all the money splash out with all the "false" friends who have now disappeared. My dad only managed to win at the most £200 and he is wise to work hard on the "side line" while still playing vernons. Last time he showed me a cheque for a few quids that he won and asked me if it was worth it to bank. In the end, he kept the cheque as a souvenir !
