Maryse,

I like what you said about the SOURCES of Wisdom. It is very clear cut.

This week-end I was reading a book and here are some of the extracts:

"It is important to note the essential difference between feelings and emotions"

"Emotions are most often provoked when we react to another person through our past conditioning"

"Children are not living out of past memory. They can feel more truly what is real NOW. The key is an open vulnerable heart with the ability to let go of the past. Children live out of the natural intelligence of the heart until otherwise conditioned later"

"To be Freedom Itself, it is essential to experience all our feelings, even the most negative or painful".

In many other books, it has been said that in our Spiritual journey, we have to be EMOTIONALLY DETACHED. We need to have the same state of mind towards sorrow and happiness. In "the secret" posting that has been sent by Albert, it basically says the following:

Postive thoughts give us good feelings which in turn gives us positive emotions like joy, happiness etc which has an effect upon our mental and physical health. By being positive, we give a message to the Universe ...

Here are my Queries:

1) Feelings and Emotions are LINKED together. How can we FEEL FULLY and at the SAME TIME be EMOTIONALLY DETACHED from what we feel ?

2) Is the difference between Feeling and Emotions very subtle ? For instance, a woman who is in labour and who FEEL FULLY the intensity of the pain (emotion). She then says to herself "The pain is not me" and in a way "step out" (become detached) from the pain.

3) The difference seems to be more obvious in extreme cases when the emotions is powerful and raw. But how can we in our daily life make the difference ? We all experience things like "I am mad at my neighbour", "I am over excited because I am looking forward to something that I like" and so on.
