Hi gang,
Thank you for all your posts and wonderful support over the year. I've been very busy working on various film projects due for release in '08. I know this is a time for reflection and in that sense I'd like to think just how much we've moved on and progressed in that year. I hope you feel you've progressed - I know I have.
Spare a thought too for all those who were with us this time last year but have now moved on to the Higher Side. They are happy, re-united with their loved ones in Spirit, but it's all too often those left behind that feel the pain of loss and suffer daily without that special physical contact. To this end, please feel free to contribute on a related thread in this respect.
As a web host 'd like to say how nice it is to see the nastiness gradually subside over the last three years to the point where it is almost non-existent - that's really nice to see.
Spiritualism is still in the same state it was last year, the year before and the decade and decades before that. One of the problems with Spiritualism is that it has kicked out any original thinkers. There are no new theories - there is no new excitement about it. It is nice that the media has made the demonstration of clairvoyance popular. And with that has come rightful criticism. But, as usual, our erligion is left in the hands of frauds to demonstrate what we do as an act of faith. I am talking here to the likes of Derek Acorah and Colin Fry.
Derek Acorah was a good medium when he served Waterloo but has squandered his abilities in search of fame and glory. Colin Fry has been proved a fake when he was caught holding a trumpet aloft during a seance. As a medium myself, I cannot think of any situation where such a thing would be justified. By their fruits ye shall know them.
We are never going to get anywhere with anyone by removing intellectuals and people who can explain. The SNU is run by a few grandees who keep everyone else poor in knowledge so they can keep control and make obscene amounts of money. In religious terms - we've arrived because we are then just like all the other religions.
In the old days we had Swedenborg, Doyle, Barbanell, Findlay and so on. Who is there now to articulate and challenge? We need a balance of abilities. How often do we hear from the platform mediums saying, "I'm thick me. They only work with the thick ones. I don't know how it works, but it just does!" That philosophy has its place and no one can deny that. But were are the thinkers too? They have their place and only a fool would deny otherwise. But is that the kind of thing Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha would say?
BTW - We've passed the 3/4 of a million mark with the stats. We must be doing something right! And -
The SNU sold off our church, the one we bought and paid for, for £350,000. I'm glad there is justice in the next world because there is none in this world. The Waterloo story is still not over and in me, the SNU has made a powerful enemy. I have 2 feature films being released in '08. And my power and opportunity to tell our story proper increases every day. That's the way it is and the way it's going and I personally am glad about that. And who knows, whether by providence or otherwise, we might get that money back!
