Hi I am Jean Duncan and I've been attached to the spiritualist movements in Great Britain and abroad, for forty years, forty one years on 16th January 2008. I have worked as a medium for thirty five years, serving churches, organisations and charities continually during that time, not taking a penny for expenses or fees. I only took fees for private sittings after ten years of working on public platforms demonstrating mediumship, and sitting in development classes, studying in colleges and libraries. I had the most beautiful teacher of all, physical medium Bell Gibbs, for ten years.
I am saying this because in one of your posts you said that you did not know any of us, or talk to us on the telephone, so I thought I would give you a little profile of myself.
I have taught mediumship for about thirty years and I would say successfully. At least I have had no complaints from genuine spiritual people. Those that do go in a huff and get themselves in such a state are usually people that cannot control me. I have worked with the guides Zeta (40 years), Zaygoth (36 years), Basho (26 years), Ayesha (25 years), Marie Corelli(eight years), Samuel Johnson (recent addition over the last three years), Ah Tso (the same).
You will notice on this forum someone else states that some of these people are their guides. This person had never heard of any of these people until they came to my home. The circle this person left was mine. I suppose I am - in their terms - 'the card dealer'. This person accuses others of actions which they perpetrated themselves. One student spent three days in tears because of this person and it took a lot of reassurance to another student that they were worth teaching. In fact, this particular person's actions are the worst I can ever remember in all of my years linked to spiritualism. I have a letter written by this person to another member of the group insulting other group members, calling them people with 'banana smiles', and 'chattering monkeys', deriding their actions and calling their sincerity into question in the most unpleasant and hurtful terms. The group member who received the letter sent it immediately to me, since they were astounded that so much nastiness could be expressed by one person. Belive me, we all bbreathed a sigh of relief in June 2005. The same person I have watched on this site, coming out with all sorts of spiritual blurp, knowing in my heart that I had never met anyone so cruel about another living human being - and I am not talking about anyone unknown to them but in fact someone very close to them.
I tried to get this person to understand what they were doing to themselves and their own progression by inviting them to spend a week at my home without anyone else there. This led to me being insulted and browbeaten for almost the full week, while this person tried to get me to teach themn only, or to put others out of the group that they did not like. I explained that Spirit put people in the group, and Spirit removed them. I could not do what this person was asking as it is not my position to favour or choose anyone or treat any one individual in any different way. I work for Spirit, I always have and I always will.
When all the students came to stay with me, the fee was 100 pounds per week (for those who could afford it) and this covered full board and lodgings including the use of all the facilities of the household, i.e. seance equipment, Sky TV, internet access, jacuzzi, special diets catered for, excursions to the Farne Islands, Lindisfarne or other places of spiritual interest and awareness which would enhance development.
This person's partner I do miss, for they are the spiritual one, doing whatever they can to help others the best way that they can, and I really do miss them - what a wonderful person, and may God be with them.
Normally I ignore this person's posts when they are so full of malice but what you said struck a chord - when you said there were not many newcomers. I know that there are many newcomers who visit this site every week but decide not to post. Your post made me think about this, Thalia. We are responsible for our own actions but also for the protection of the vulnerable. Anyone new on here, reading such malice and snide comments would be bound to be put off.
Please take what you read in my post as Love. All can be verified by several people.
Also can I just say that Daniel Wright is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and he understands a lot more than people give him credit for. He is not in my group nor in my circle and was a student of mine a few times at HYC. He is lovely, I can tell you in all honesty.
