"If your mind changes, it is only because your belief was not strong enough, and you had better lose it than keep it."
A long time ago when people speak about the after life, I kept changing my mind and my beliefs. Is it true ? Is it false ? as we have so many different viewpoints concerning the subject.
Now I know better ! Yesterday, someone saw the book "Developing your psychic and spiritual abilities" by S.Boutboul that I was reading and told me that the after life does not exist and that there is nothing. My belief is SO STRONG about the after life that I told him "Believe whatever you want. When you die, we will continue this conversation ...". There was no point in discussing the subject as I know the guy is so set up in his own belief of non existance. He also took it lightly as he knew there is no way he could change my mind and belief.
"Ask for your proof, and then go forward thankful for knowing that nothing can shake the belief you have, but knowing also that others may have different beliefs and you may learn much from them."
I have my proof and experience and what I learned from the guy is TO STAY FIRM IN MY BELIEF... with a smile !
If each day on this forum, we learn a tiny spiritual lesson, imagine how many lessons we will grasp at the end of the year ? At least 333 lessons, not counting January!
Mark, I think that the importance is TRYING OUR VERY BEST. I have no problem in putting behind tv and all those "toys" to find time for my spiritual research and reading. However, I have to struggle with Firmness with other people. I just declined two birthday invitations next week (I suppose a nice BBQ !)because I don't want to be around negative people. I still feel a little bit "guilty" about it (this will go away with time) but I feel such a sense of FREEDOM OF CHOOSING WHAT I WANT AND SUCH A LIGHTNESS FOR NOT HAVING TO PUT UP WITH ALL THE HYPOCRITE SMILES AND WORDS.
I am STANDING FIRM in my decision to stay away from negative vibrations and to STAY IN THE LIGHT as much as possible.
Sharing our weaknesses openly is a strength because this shows that we have accepted them and are READY TO FACE THEM !
Have a lovely day
