with the worst unemployment in 26 years and after Gast just announced the smallest tuition increase in 40 years do you think she's gonna now turn around and say "and BTW,we're giving away $3 million annually to football recruits"

and as far as fordham threatening the PL the PL will tell them "don't let the door hit you on the way out" and then the PL will call Marist or Bryant or someone similar.

get this Lehigh fans -- be happy with we're we are. if we get scholarships next you'll wanna be playing Penn State. it'll never end with your craving for big time college FB. Just go buy the DirecTV College FB pay per view and let this go.

Perhaps you dont realize that scholarships wont cost more. The arguement is to simply convert the need based aid to scholarships, without upping the amount of overall aid---why cant that work?

only if it were that simple. there's a misconception that all or most players are receiving aid. point of fact is that the opposite is true. and very few players receive full package aid. so scholarships are really about NEW money....and Gast, who is not a sports fan anyway, isn't going to shell out $2-3 mil annually for FB recruits when she just announced smallest tuition increase in 40 years b/c of recession.

Per LU's 2006 NCAA Re-Certification Self Study, during the years 2003-2005, 78 freshmen football players were admitted receiving Athletically Related Aid. FCS is limited to 63 equivalencies spread among 85 players.

Using the OPE Gender Equity searchable database one could approximate LU's Aid to football players at around $2 mil.

if lex and fb dad are the same poster as you claim how could he be the TWO dumbest posters and EACH have a kid on the team?
