From Lehigh's best start since 1980 to a potential three-game slide that threatens to tear apart Lehigh's postseason chances three games into the Patriot League schedule. Make no mistake, this is a must-win game.

Women travel to Army in a big game, and Lehigh hopes to make it 16 victories in 17 duals when they travel to Navy.

I believe the good doctor (PhD Reed) will find a cure and fully expect us to be 4-3 or better at the halfway point of the season. Yes, Saturday is a must game and we will have it. Losing to AU in OT on their home court and then coming within 3 points of Navy with 3.3 seconds remaining -after being up by 10 earlier in the game - is nothing to run and hide from. Sure, it was disappointing but not the end of the world. Each opponent knew they were in a game with us to the very end. As for Hall, yes he must improve his shooting. And, he will. I'm more concerned that Ojo (a playmaker off the bench earlier in the season) won't get it back. His 0 for 10 shooting against AU and Navy certainly added to our miseries. As for Marquiis, if he can't regain his shooting touch, I think you'll see the second coming of Prentice Small with each dishing out 5-7 assists a game. Lord knows they have willing and talented targets on the receiving ends of those feeds in Carrington, Anderson, Keefer and Buchberger. I'm also banking on our our defense (28th ranked in the nation...%FG Defense) to carry us far in the PL this year. David Buchberger has shown time and time again he's up to the challenge of guarding the league's best perimeter shooters. I also believe in the rebounding strength of both Carrington and Anderson - perhaps the finest board duo in the PL. Bottom line: Don't panic. Simply put one in the win column on Saturday and see the confidence return.

Nice win for the Mountain Hawks!!! American is still doing their thing. Bucknell will surprise someone soon. Don't count them out.

I don't think last nights game showed us anything, except that Army stinks. They couldn't put the ball in the basket, don't rebound, don't play good defense, yada, yada, yada. You are not a good team until you can beat good teams. Time will tell.

People have a right to discuss what they want. The football team has been disappointing, the basketball team may have a good year, the wrestling team got a great coach (let us give some credit to those who got him) and if you only want to be a cheerleader, there are vacancies on the squad.

Thanks for the tip on the Colgate board. Very interesting. True story-back in early 80's during Dave Duke's last year, Mcall reporter told me to bet the ranch-Emmitt Davis was Lehigh's next coach. So much for inside info and I still have the ranch, humble as it may be.

In looking at some of your blog information, it seems that you know the league very well. Do you think American will take it all? What's your take on Bucknell and Lehigh? Why would a coach play an easy schedule to get ready for PL play? Our WCAL players went to several schools, but I only know of three that went east. Your feedback is appreciated.

No need to be defensive. I never said you could not discuss what you want. I am much too old to be a cheerleader. A few of the people here watch them on the net. Say what you like, no problem here. I see the Patriot League is like most leagues. We are new to how things are on the east. We've got it now.

BTW, where is Hamilton?

You're right. Colgate is pretty intense. I assume the players from the leagues don't read this stuff. I read it to get a sense of what's happening in the league. Good luck in the league.
