I never said your first half performance wasn't good. The "pack it in" comment was in reference to play down the stretch.

In the fourth quarter, the LC offense managed only 8 plays and 10 yards against CU. The LC defense spent nearly 12 minutes on the field and surrendered 150 yards. That may have been bend don't break D, but it wasn't effective enough to win. You need to play four, rather 2 1/2, quarters of football, my friend.

Best defense? Hmmm, we'll see about that after the Leopards face two more offensively skilled teams. Facing LU and HC won't be quite the same as playing the likes of Marist, Georgetown, Columbia, and Fordham. Harvard, Liberty, and Colgate all moved the pigskin against the Leopards.

As for HC, their offense is going to score points. The Crusader air game is that good regardless of who their opponent is, whether it be a CAA, Ivy, or PL team. They'll prove that again versus both LC and CU. Nevertheless, CU at least has some offense of its own to keep the ball out of Randolph's hands. Lehigh managed 375 yards and 25 minutes of possession against HC. In comparison to Lehigh, LC is more offensively challenged. The Leopards' 361 yd/game average seems insufficient for getting the job done against HC.

But, we'll see.

At the 9:40 mark of the 3rd quarter when Curley left due to the blow to the head, the offensive stats were Lafayette 240 Colgate 64.

The statement that "Lafayette's offense packed it in" is a ridiculous comment that ignores the fact that a QB with 2 years experience was replaced by a soph w/ 2 PLAYS experience. It's a lot like when Sullivan took over for Relph vs Stony Brook: first six series resulted in--an interception, four punts and a FG.

Congrats to Colgate on their wins over The Valley teams. I'm sure the Lehigh fans are consoled by your pick in The Rivalry.

Don't get too logical on them Andy. Facts and figures don't mesh well with their "curse" theories and overall "feelings and perceptions".
