I don't think anyone here is confusing the coach's performance and responsibilities with discourse regarding the President's support. They are mutually exclusive. So I don't see why we can't generally discuss the President's and Administration's level of support in addition to a critique of Coen & Staff.

I think we'd all prefer 5% better performance from Coen and the team this year as well as more support from the University.

LU in NJ-

Why is Coen responsible for the kicker missing XPs?

Simple - you don't like him, therefore everything that is wrong is his fault.

Lembo is gone, Coen is the HC, get used to it.

Coen is responsible for the kicker missing XPs because he didn't replace him after missed XPs time and time again. If I kept making mistakes at work, my boss would give my job to someone he could count on, because my sloppy work would reflect on him. Why is a football player any different? By the way, Lembo isn't totally gone. I saw him hanging around at Georgetown after the game, chatting with the older players.

I don't dislike Coen, I dislike seeing the team lose games they have the talent to win-------and I hold the head coach responsible because that's his job.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Coen become a winning coach in the tradition of Whitehead, Higgins, and Lembo, but it hasn't happened in three seasons of declining results.

The players put in countless hours and tremendous effort to represent Lehigh on Saturdays, and I believe they deserve better coaching than I've seen over the past three years.

No coach/coaching staff is perfect, but two losing seasons in a row is two too many.

Lembo isn't the issue, nor is Gast or Sterrett. Coen is the head coach and in my book, the head coach is accountable for a tram's performance.
