Subject: Women's tournament

I was at the women's tournament games last night, and Lehigh looked really good. I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be a force in the Patriot League this season. The strong start from the men's team as well could mean a special year for Lehigh Basketball!

both teams might be pretty good this year but it's way too early to tell. the men's strength of schedule right now is #339 in the country - almost last - and the women's is #314.

the women should have looked "really good" last night considering they were playing one of the worst teams in the country. north florida is 2-8 and is ranked in the bottom 20 out of over 340 colleges. lasalle is a middle of the pack team, so that should tell us a little more.

Great call John. The men have been notorious for playing very weak schedules over the last seven years when Coach Taylor arrived. Despite the disappointing crowd, it was a big deal to get St. Joe's to come to Stabler.

The women will usually play a 'name' opponent or two, but still overall have just a so-so schedule. Maybe I should be a bit more reserved!

Why not enjoy the wins? The men and women spend long hours practicing and studying. They need all the support they can get. There are enough negative comments from the fans of the opponents.

Lehigh's defense was stifling last night and it was a great comeback win for the girls. Not having Ross (our big shooter) made things tough but LU found a way to win anyway. I'm happy for the seniors who were able to finally win the tournament after finishing second in the last three years. It will be a Happy New Year in Bethlehem!
