Subject: Colgate's shame

See the Colgate board for disciplinary news. Their own fans are disgusted though some are like the school shameless. And a respectable person can have nothing but contempt for those who said this was minor.
I wish the young men well, may they learn from this.
Colgate though deserves nothing but contempt, disgust and a league suspension.

Certainly a bit odd and does seem rather self serving for the Gate team to keep their best player BUT Biddle has always been a pretty straight guy. He wouldn't cut branch a break so that he does for Scott perhaps shows that the kid is Ok. As I don't know the inside facts, I have to think Biddle did the right thing as he has in the past.

Lehigh banned the bank robber from the football team. The circumstances were different, but the discipline was commendable.

I have never read this blog before, I was just bored and I ended up here.
Ultimate Hawk,
I have read your comments on the Colgate board over the last year and just thought you were being sarcastic. I have now changed my opinion of you. Do you really hate Colgate that much? Why does our school make you so angry all of the time? I am sorry for whatever we have done to you. If I had the power I would remove the school from the Patriot League just to lessen your stress level.

Whoa cowboys-It didn't say he was drunk-He wasn't charged with DUI - This legal age individual had an open can of a beverage. Talk about trying to make something out of nothing. Guaranteed he'll be there Sat making big plays. Live with it!

There is no comparison between the Frozen Felons and a regular student. The fact that your school does not take criminal acts against its own students seriously is your own problem.

Didn't the players admit to breaking into the women's dorm rooms in order to steal money? You make it sound like they were caught cutting through someone's backyard on their way to class rather than entering women's rooms in the middle of the night with intent to steal.

You are correct. Entering a room and rifling through the occupant's drawers for money is burglary pure and simple. The final plea bargain may have been 'trespass' but that is the justice system in Hamilton.

One-game suspensions are for the most minimal of offenses, and violations of team rules. Not for burglary, breaking into a student's room, and fleeing.
Colgate is truly loathsome.

OK, a one game suspension for this offense. Now lets see if Lehigh lives up to that standard. Or, if they are just like Colgate and give a hand slap.

Colgate's discipline was ridiculous. A year away, or a semester-long suspension, woudl be more appropriate. Expulsion should have been considered.
