Right. Explain then why some students get extra help and more chances, and some do not and why is there favoritism?

Favoritism - Because they are working for the University as football players the equivilant of a 40 hour work week ...plus full time school. The University benefits by having a competitive football program to draw in alumni, alumni contributions, build school spirit, generate publicity, expand the LU brand name and identity...a few incremental benefits like an extra chance and help is a great deal for the U. and more than a fair exchange when you factor in latent injuries that manifest themselves later in life - arthitis, bad backs, suspect knees, and chronic low level joint pain.
