Date Posted: 17:25:44 02/20/07 Tue Brian Hunter, a 6-1 guard who averages an area-best 22 points per game, had wanted to stay close to home and was heavily recruited by Lehigh's Patriot League rival Lafayette as well as Division III DeSales. Hunter will be considered a recruited walk-on at Lehigh. "Brian also had scholarship offers from Division II schools," Emmaus coach Andy Stephens said. "But he really aspired to play Division I basketball and wanted to stay close to home." *This kid played at the same school as Aaron Gray of Pitt but obviously of not quite that level of fame. Anyway, while I'm sure he's a good player, he looked good on TV, we've seen too many guys over the years whose other choices included D2 and even D3 schools. |
