Pageant is open to young ladies ages 13 to 15 2. Must be Citizens of the United States and legal residents of the State of West Virginia 3. Must be of good moral character 4. Cannot be the current holder of Teen Miss River Fest 5. Cannot seek another title of any other fair or festival during your reign at Teen Miss River Fest 6. She may attend fairs/festivals/Opening Ceremonies of her choice, but she must wear the crown and sash awarded to her. 7. Application fee: $75.00 8. Areas of Competition: Essay, Personal Interview and Final Question Essay: 40 points: Please submit a 250 to 500 word typed essay on the topic “The Water Cycle.” It should highlight the components of the water cycle, it’s historic significance and the impact of environmental conservation, preservation and restoration on this natural phenomenon. Personal Interview: 40 points: On stage interview: 5 questions taken directly from the information included on your application. Final Question: 20 points: On stage: fishbowl question 9. Attire: Personal Interview: Blue jeans, white tennis shoes and RIver Fest T-Shirt Provided Final Question: Pageant wear (must be floor length, let modesty be your guide, no two piece dresses, footwear of your choice. 10: Responsibilities a: To participate in three local parades: Mannington DIstrict Parade, Fairmont Christmas Parade and the Three Rivers Festival. You must provide the vehicle of your choice. b. To participate in two fundraising events c. To attend River Fest 2015 d. To return to the 2015 pageant to crown Teen Miss River Fest 2015. e. If opportunity presents itself to act as a spokesperson for the LWF River Fest. Awards; Teen Miss Photogenic: Embroidered sash and trophy Teen Miss Court: Crown pin, trophy and gift bag Teen Miss River Fest: Tiara, Embroidered sash, trophy and gift bag Mail application, essay, 5 x 7 picture and application fee by May 16, 2014.
