Subject: Send your thanks to Lafayette Prez rothkopf Author: Leopard Man [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:37:24 03/21/05 Mon Special thanks has to go to Lafayette president Arthur Rothkopf for not granting full scholarships.Remember Chris McNaughton and John Griffin would be Leopards if Lafayette gave full scholarships.You can contact him at rothkopa@lafayette.edu .....McNaughton is the son of a Lafayette grad and Griffin's dad and coach O'Hanlon are great friends and both wanted to be a Leopards. Dont want this to sound like sour grapes, just stating the facts,also great job Bisons you made all of the PL proud.I hope this ia a wakeup call for the new Lafayette prez and the Bot, that scholarships and strong academics can go hand in hand and makes for a better PL. Congrats to Bucknell who showed what can be accomplished when players, coaches, administrators, and alumni work together. Great job!

You have also demonstrated how to run a scholarship program without compromising your values, something our BOT has not been able to see. Here's hoping your president along with the other PL presidents is able to show our new president how it can be done making for a stronger league and helping everyone. I do regret our present path has doomed us to the cellar for the forseeable future. Great weekend!
