The only hard thing about installing one on my 2wd was getting the damn thing in there.
With a 4wd, you should have more space to work with.
Side note - I have a 2wd auto, LCE now states that it doesn't fit on my vehicle.
I had to cut my origional down pipes to get them out, just because of lack of space.
Otherwise, it was fairly easy.
Clean up the exhaust gasket area, of course make sure you don't gouge the aluminum head.
This would also be a good time to replace any exhaust studs, if needed.
