Subject: 3rd Blown Head Gasket

 Yup. I just blew my third head gasket on my 3VZE. The first was at 50k miles which Toyota fixed for free. The second at 100k. The shop did an overhaul including resurfacing for much more money than I should have paid. Now, at 120k miles, my head gasket is blown again.

What is causing these head gaskets to go bad? Is there anything I can do short of a 3.4 swap or should I just give up on my 4runner?
