I have built a modified 22Re engine.Using SDS EMF-4 ijection and ignition systems. As well keith Black pistons and total seal piston rings.A crane cam in the window for which injection must work based upon the vacuum and which is basicly controlled by the cams lift but more over in duration.Steel backed chain guides and adjustable cam gear.Stock valves due to its going to be used offroad and so anything larger is a pure waste in money and efforts. The CR was taken up to 9.7-1 as there is some valve overlap which will inturn drop the Cr back to about the stock range. At least good enough to not worry about problems of detonation. Its also been ported which isnt to mean for any loss in lower end.Due to the fact all the port work was all in and up to the valves and guides period. In what turned out a real success! As these head was tryed and proven on another engine for its rapid accelleration and without anything for a loss at all and only gains with a slightly lower lift cam in the schenider with a .416 int and .430 exh pulling hard to the 4500 drop off of that cam and with the header of my only in a thorley choice and tri-y.Due once again for its lower end to mid range power.I reworked my TB inlarged to the specs of any big bore TB using only a die grinder at the time.Since figuring a brake hone to do the work faster and much easyer. This also proved a real winner! Then I also had the entire engine throughly balanced! First as would any automotive type should be and then as they balance any harley in the recprocating mass as a whole.Making for a complete balanced engine right to the pulleys and flywheel.Of which is a big billet centerforce with the dual friction clutch.Solid motor mounts I did as most since I learned to weld and liked it so much I bought a better unit in whats big enough to easily handle anything in all Ive built to date.I also built the cold air complete intake including the aluminum filter box with dual air scoops.Which can be blocked off in the botom for deep water crossings and a snorkel added to the top.Which just so happens to be in the same opening as the stock outlet or intake was at.All the tube being of large PVC pipe from home depot. With only the tube which the large cone shaped cotton gauze filter attaches to and then into the slightly smaller PVC in hopes of creating more velosity as it runs towards the TB and into the runners.Which I completely match ported. Then swirling the intakes and polished out the combustion and exh ports and even matched into the header tubes. The pulleys Id even reduced by reworking the power steering pump mount. So its even with the water pump and crank.Allowing use of now four pulleys and one belt.As the electric black magic fan pulls in all the cool air the engine could ever want from its large aluminum griffin race radiator! For exhuast.I was sickend at downeys poor attemp in all lazy ways of combined 6 and 4 cylinders into what the smaller 22Re will and did indeed suffer as a direct garbage result. After about a month of trials and errors I came up with a real winner!@1/4 inch pipe using the only part worth a shit! The free flowing cat!Capping it with what brought it all alive! The tunned stainless supertrapp! Looks great sounds as good as anything your going to buy on a four cylinder period. But its the performance that ROCKS!Now we get to the root of my real maddening damned problem. The oiling!I installed all three galley plugs two in front one in the rear.Added the rocker shafts with three oil ports to the stocks one.Along with a remote filter setup and a large filter. With the new engine Id not since fired!Due to exactly no damned oil. Then I must break the camshaft and new rockers in properly. But can ANYONE PLEASE tell me the exact oil path?AS toyota so left out as many things in the halfassed atemp at a factory service manual I own and used to the point of its coming completely apart along damned all time ago!I dont care to tear apart what I just built for the 2nd time around.Due in fact to the other removing my galley plugs and failing to tell me!As toyota helped as well in a real lack in the oil dept period!!It seems only the pump matters to them? And that to is new and fine.HELP Toy4therock@yahoo.com
