2000 4Runner, 4wd, 80000 miles, auto trans. Vehicle will not go into drive when temp gets below freezing. Will go into rev. ok. After about 2-3 min. with engine running trans. works just as it is supposed to. Shifts thru all gears ok. I have read about this problem on several different posts at other locations but so far there has been no answhere to what causes this to happen. I would think the problem is weather related but there should be a fix for this. Is this a toyota trans. problem
that no one knows about? Could there be any recalls or TSB on this trans. problem. Any help or advise will be appreciated. PS Trans works normal when temp is above freezing. Had fluid and filter changed 4 months ago at trans. shop. Larry G.
