We have a 'mud-to-studs' law up here too. Guess the q. would be how much longer do you have in Iceland? If you studded your tires, you'd still have to put new rubber under your truck either coming back Stateside, or in May, whichever comes first. I think chains would be in order for ya. Forgot the other time I chain up--when I go ice fishing to get out on the lake!
The roomie has told me tales of the dumpsters gliding across the parking lots up there in the winter. Gotta love that.
Haven't heard from your brother yet, but I left his duty phone and orderly room phone numbers on my answering machine in case I miss him. Hookin' him up!! :-)
