Actually, bunnies are best kept inside the home or room. Bunnies are very sociable animals who require much attention, exercise and stimulation and usually enjoy being around people ( and where all the excitement is ). My two rabbits are house-trained ( Ie/ litter-trained ) and run free inside my home just as a cat would. However, this does require some bunny-proofing of your home and obviously litter-training.

Some people also do keep rabbits outside, however it is necessary to ensure your rabbit is warm in the winter ( which can be difficult if you live somewhere cold ), cool in the summer, and also ensure that your rabbit recieves enough attention. Rabbits who live outdoors must also be safely secured in their cages as predators may try to prey on them.

I used to keep my rabbits when I was younger outdoors and I've found that my current rabbit companions make better pets as animals that are housed indoors generally open-up to their owners more as they are surrounded by people more often....

Hope this answers your question.
