Date Posted: Sun, September 28 2008, 11:11:04 Several people have asked about Laggeri beach on the forum. We have just returned from a lovely 2 weeks there and can report that the beach appears to be just as good as the reports on the Captain's Island Review! 2008 was the worst year for wind in the 31 years that our waiter had experienced on Paros. This does affect - the boat did not run to Laggeri on several days and all the boats were cancelled on at least 1 day (we got a car after that!!). The other problem with the boat is that the first one doesn't leave 'til 11:30, missing a lot of the day and the less windy spots on the beach if the Meltame is blowing! No problems from the building work behind but it is a concern that there are more houses appearing in this very remote area - how do they get permission??
