Conesquently, over time the hinges break and the seat parts company with the toilet bowl. This is probably due to misuse (i.e standing on it or using it as a foot stool to dry off) as well as regular 'wear and tear'. I imagine the proprietors become fed up replacing them all the time. This year we also had to replace a faulty shower head and restock the kitchen with knives, cups and glasses. However, for me, this is all part of the fun of going to Grecce.
