I tried Air Aegean from Heathrow last year- much better and cheaper then BA. Problem is it gets to Athens so early-around 2.30 local. Last year I tried the Seajet service from Rafina- saves the slog to Piraeus. Problem is the first bus does not go until 5.30 so you have a long wait at Athens Airport and an equally long wait at Rafina. Our bus driver had enrolled in the Airport- Rafina Grand prix- and belive me the roads are not motorway quality on that route ! Still that is the greek travelling experience for you.
