I just got back from Corfu yesterday. I found the sun as warm, the people as friendly and the attitude to naturism as relaxed as ever. Yes, Greece looks a bit run down. Always has - maintenance never seems to have been a priority. But so what? Things work well enough.

I can detect virtually no connection between the news coverage of the last few years - which reports not on Greece but on about 1 sq km around Syntagma Sq - and what happens in the islands.

Now if only they could inject a bit of variety into the cuisine...
