I'm not sure everyone knows who we are or that we are here, but we are strictly a no kill shelter for dogs and cats, primarily located in Claremore. But as our name indicates, we provide service for all of Rogers County. However, we are really struggling at the moment. We don't have a building to house the abandoned animals, so we have to pay to keep them in a kennel until homes are found. We also have to pay for their shots, medicine if they're sick, and to spay/neuter them, and feed them. We also have to transport them to adoption events each weekend so people can see them and hopefully adopt them.
Right now we are out of money, and only have about 10 volunteers we can count on to show up regularly. And our van that we use to transport the animals needs major engine work, and new brakes.
Can anyone help us with our needs? We never put an animal down, some we've had for 3+ years. Any suggestions on raising money, finding reliable transportation, anything would be appreciated more than you know. We're here to serve you, if we can keep ourselves open.
