My dad was Ronald S. Clark, SIc on the USS Euryale. He passed away on May 4, 2007. After the war he attended Shepherd College in WV, then the Wesley Theological Seminary in Maryland. He became a Methodist Minister, was married to the same gal (Doris) for 46 years and had four children. After he retired, he and my mom lived in Fairfax, Va. My mom died in 2002 and Dad moved to Pembroke, Va where he lived in a little house my wife and I bought for him. All during my life, Dad talked about the men and his experiences aboard the Euryale. I really think that reminiscing about the Navy and his time in the Pacific and Japan brought him his greatest joy. I still have Dad's dress blues, his helmet, the letters he wrote home during the war and the flag that was on his casket. As his son, I want to thank the crew of the USS Euryale for your service both during and after the War.
