Signs of labor are restlessness,no intrest in food,and "nest making" (which is digging or tearing things up as if making a nest for her pups). Small dogs, and in particular chihuahuas, tend to have trouble in labor so you need to know when she's ready so you can be with her and call the vet if any thing goes wrong. Not doing so COULD result in the loss of the lives of your puppies and possibly your dog. It doesn't always but it's always good to be prepared! Good luck to you and your dog!!!
