My poodle is 9 years old. she was in heat about 3 weeks ago, and i think she may have mated with another dog who is alot bigger in size. She has gained an enormous amount of wait, and when you feel her stomach, its hard as a rock and it feels like you can feel something inside. so if my dog is pregnant I need to know as soon as possible to take her to her vet. How do us dog lovers know if our dogs are pregnant. I also need to know if there is any way we can know which dog she may have mated with, so we can find out if she will be able to have the pups or not. Thank you sincerly!!!

She was gone for about 20 minutes. When she came back, she appeared to have rolled in something. We did not know we had a Coyote population in that area until that evening when we heard them howling near our cottage. Could she have mated with a Coyote? Would she have been fertile 20 days after the onset of her heat season?

She is a very sweet dog but i have noticed that her tits have been getting bigger and that she is becoming more aggressive toward my 2 puppies (5&7 months) but before this she was like a mother dog and did nothing to them but everytime they go buy her and wants to play she tries to snap at them. Does this mean thats she pregnant?

In a couple of weeks(about 7 weeks after you suspected she may have gotten pregnant) you can placeyou hands on tummy, while she is at rest, if you feel movement like a fluttering chances are you will have puppies due within 14 days (8wks) you will feel definitely movement and little limbs sticking out whern you place your hand on her tummy
