Subject: LEFT REAR TIRE RULES!!!!

At the last meeting I uderstand there was talk of a spec tire rule for left rears at ssmc to use a D25 compound which the NMMA states the left rear be no softer than a durometer reading of 40 the D20 compound is just above a 40 reading which would be a NMMA legal tire.

The problem with this since the NMMA has put the rule in place for this 2006 season alot of people have purchase D20 compound tires a legal tire but it would not be legal at sweetsprings a NMMA sanctioned track.

What if travelers come to race do we make them by a D25 before they race????

What if we travel to a nother NMMA sanctioned track do we by D20 compound to compete but they are illegal to use at home!!!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY

I have not purchased tires yet when will the decision a the tire rules be final I would prefer sooner than later thankyou. P.S. I do relize this is a gray area tire temp different durometers air pressure can make the same tire read different on the durometer.
