Subject: What does "Groupie" mean to you?

 First, I wanted to let everyone know I have registered a domain name and will be working on my front page over the next month. I was going to call my site Groupies.com. I found out that was an adult site...whoops! So I have a more appropriate name I'll share later.

I want to thank everyone for participating on this board. I realize the format isn't to everyone's liking and many people wish I would have left the format unmoderated. Unfortunately, the unmoderated format was becoming chaotic. I will be working on the format in months to come. Please be patient with me...I'm new at this and not yet familiar with HTML and things.

On my website, I'd like to define "groupie" There is the dictionary version, then there is your version. I thought a few of you might share what you think a groupie is. I'll start.

To me a groupie is an avid follower of music and musicians. A groupie isn't happy simply going to a concert then home. They set out to meet their idols or people they admire. Therefore, in my opinion, both females and males can be groupies. Some groupies simply want an autograph, picture or a handshake, others hope to have an intimate relationship with a musician. Others yet, have the opportunity to date musicians. I have friends who've had several boyfriends over the past few years. All of the boyfriends were muscians. I would consider such a person a groupie since they seem to date people in a particular profession.
