It seems to be common knowledge that Pam Courson was known as the closest thing to a "wife" that Jim Morrison got.
However, I recently read a book called "Strange Days: My Life With and Without Jim Morrison" by a woman named Patricia Keneally, who claimed to have been wedded in a pagan ceremony to Jim Morrison [and who subsequently had her name changed to reflect same].
Now, as a fellow pagan, I take pagan ritual seriously. More to the point, for someone to petition the court -- successfully -- for a change of name to reflect a marital status must have some significance.
OTOH, I find it odd that none of the other Doors [who would, you would think, know] were aware of this, and it's pretty much dismissed in Elektra Records circles as the "rantings of a crazed groupie."
