Subject: Cupcake schedule:Have to disagree

I would have to disagree that OR's schedule was cupcake.

They opened with Portsmouth & Hanover back-to-back.

Overall, they played Portsmouth twice, Hanover & John Stark once each. that was 4 wins vs the #2, #3 & 4 seeds in the tourney. They also played Laconia (12-6),Bow (10-8) & Coe-Brown (9-9) twice.

Also, dont forget that before the season, St. Thomas was expexted to be a top team as well. Their center's injury drastically altered that, but going into the season that was two more tough games for OR.

I give Pembroke credit for pulling the upset, but when you compare regular season schedules, OR got it done against all the top teams they were slated to play. Personally I thought they would lose in the final four against Hanover. OR was undefeated yes, but I still say NOONE seriously thought they would walk out of UNH with the tittle. They were winning, but in many games, they were just winning. While they did have a few games in which they coasted, they also struggled in games a lot. for example, only beating Plymouth by 5, Kennet by 3 & St. Thomas by 6. Those teams were a combined 15-39. OR's margin for error was extremely small and it showed up against Pembroke.
