Hello - yes, you can use a normal IDE hard drive. The maximum limit that the computer can see will be 128GB, though I believe that the OS needs to be within the first 8GB of this so you will need to partition the drive.

USB Keyboard and mice are supported if you add a PCI card, and compatible Ethernet card (or CSII card)
