Go ahead. Bawl like a baby. It has nothing to do with testoterone. It has to do with a breaking heart.

Please consider subscribing to one of the support lists.

The men who participate are phenomenal. They "get it". The calendar for them is as recent as weeks and distant as years. Let them, and the women too, help you through this.

It is a very fluid process.
Your relationship is very special. Being able to discuss this honestly says a great deal about both of you. Continue to communicate as best you can.

Ultimately, what matters is can you share?
If she isn't already, it is very likely that she will fall in love, truly in love, with a woman. It will be a different kind of love from the love you share. I can't tell you how you will feel. I can tell you that I prayed to die in my sleep. I wanted him to want me and only me in the way he wanted his lover. He couldn't. I wasn't a man. I was everything else he needed, but not that.

We don't belong to each other unless the boundaries are mutual and reciprocal. Otherwise, none of us has either the power or the latitude to "let go" or "hold on" to another person.

If you fell as though all you're doing is talking about this, then take a breather...from the discussion. Make an appointment to talk about it. Where do you live? Reputable therapy can make a huge difference.
