It sounds like you've never been with a caring and sensitive straight man. Having intimacy with a straight man is wonderful. There is nothing like it if he is also concerned about your needs.

After being with someone for 18 years who had zero desire for me.... I hope one day I'll meet a good guy who is straight, loves me and wants true intimacy and great sex.

I don't have any advise to give you. You will eventually figure out what your needs are.
