I related to what you wrote TOO much so... I could have written it. My daughter has suffered and I used to blame myself totally.. now I've finally come to see that if I was not "all I could be".. that some of that was fall out from the major break that was there that I could not see.

Anyway... you say... there is no end to the guilt, but there can be. You can stop it when you come to understand ......... Quite possibly by rewinding your own life and realizing that we did not have perfect childhoods either...

I believe our parents ( all parents) all people do the very best they can with what they have at that moment.

I did that... I bet you did too... we did the very best possible with where we were with the knowledge we had at that time. Now we understand things that we did not, and IF we are able to let go of what was... like a bird...RELEASE it to fly... Then... and only then can we take the BEST that we have NOW... and make the best that we can with it. If we hold on to what was... for which there is zero remedy to change any of it... no matter how many times you run it around... and around and once more around... then we use our energy on that cycle instead of forward movement...
I've been trying to move ahead more... I come here less now because of it. This place helped me to understand more and release more... to move on and into my precious life.
