I believe you have some serious misconceptions about how the vast majority of women on this list feel in regards to gay men.

I don't believe a single person who has ever posted on this forum has expressed hatred for "gay men". The issue isn't "gay men". The issue is some men who are gay who make the choice to lie.

I could care less that you or any other man is gay.
I care(d) that the man I married pretended to be str8. He had his reasons. Right or wrong is unimportant at this point, since three children and nearly thirty years passed before he made the choice to tell the truth to those who trusted him most. I believe that you and your partner, him and any partner he opts to share his life with, are entitled to the same legal protections and benefits of any str8 couple. (I don't believe, however, that filing suit against private physicians or church clergy for refusing
to make what each believes to be a personal compromise is either necessary or a way to further "the cause".)

Thanks for sharing your story.
What, I believe, is more important than anything to those who come to this forum, is the value of honesty and the confirmation that no one is alone in this process and that the str8 spouse is not responsible for the choices of a gay spouse.
