The legacy of all of this is, in my view, much more difficult for adult children in some ways.

Our youngest son was 17 and still at home when his father came out. At one point he looked at me and said, "So, was I an experiment to prove that a gay man can reproduce?" I gave him the answer that was politically correct. Since his father wasn't there to provide a response, I gave one that sounded right.

Sam's suggestion is excellent. This blog is quite remarkable.
