No one can tell someone how long in hours, weeks, months or years to heal from deception, betrayal and lies. Bob, good for you that you have found a new life but Kev has his own road to travel and basically telling someone to get over it is not helpfull and imho extremely insensitive and hurtful.

When a person has been lied to over and over again it takes time to heal and a bit presumptious to tell them to stop feeling anger, rage, and sadness. I'm sure the liar would love to say ... get over it. Human emotions need to be expressed and to bury them is the reason we are on this forum. Someone we thought we knew and loved thought they could hide and bury their feelings and in some cases spent 20, 30, 40 years to finally understand who they are. The straigh spouse should be given the same understanding. I'm sick and tired of how the straigh spouse should be understanding and sympathic. Enough already. Let's be selfish and allow the victim to heal in his/her own time.

We all need to remember that we can't presume to know what another person is going through.
