I don't buy that.

A date at age 17 with a woman who went on to date girls in college threw me for more of a loop than a similar experience at 25.

The second time a partner had trouble with intimacy and couldn't explain why, I was out of there. The first time, we were on again, off again for 6 years.

Over on the MMTL forum (Men Married to Lesbians), our most succesful member (still married, happy, getting laid) is 63.

I don't think that "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." But rather, "If I've learned anything from my experiences, I'm more ready for the future."
