I don't think it matters if the spouse is male or female....the results are the same, emotions are the same for the spouse that finds out "the truth".

And it seems to be a common theme for the spouse that has been in hiding/denial about their sexuality, to be unable to face the effects of what their lying has truly done. I'm guessing the thought process is: I've hid the truth for so long, I selflessly lead this life to plz others, so now its time to plz myself, I deserve it.
