My wife doesn't go to Ask Joanne, at least I am fairly certain that she doesn't. If she does, I know she doesn't post. I found that site when doing research of my own after the talk that we had and now I go there regularly to read the posts that are there, and just to see if my wife DOES start posting there.

The discussion we had about this was a year ago, and at this point we are still doing OK. We decided to start focusing on problems that existed within our marriage first, and trying to fix those. We started doing a lot more of the stuff we used to do when we were dating, and just generally doing more things together again. Most of the problems she was having started after our daughter was born.

The biggest issue that I had was that the support communities that exist, like Ask Joanne, harbored some of the most hateful backwards minded people that I have ever seen. They slap each other on the back and cheer themselves on for finding that "Girlfriend" that they are cheating on their husbands with, and don't have any qualms offering their on elicit advice on how best to go about keeping it all a secret until they can find an apartment and become financially solvent before destroying some poor bastard's life and telling him the truth. Oh, and here is a nice list of gay-friendly attorneys that would be more than happy to help you out with your divorce and custody proceedings to make sure that your rights are upheld!!! The court should definitely not look down on you because you are finding out after all these years the truth of your sexuality, nevermind that you have been cheating on your husband, lying to him, and putting him and your family at risk of contracting the STD that you may have caught.
