Weird. I have a toy. I like my toy. It is my toy. He did buy it for me, but he bought it for me because he was having difficulty and thought that the toy might help. And, frankly, it did help as far as assuaging horniness goes. But it never made me feel loved. Plastic/glass/synthetic/etc. will never do that.

But, anyway, I never felt that it was harmful, either.

On the other hand, I have a kink that involves a bit of B&D, and we did survive the last year or so of our marriage on my B&D kink. It was my kink. Something that I wanted. Something that I felt comfortable with. And I will tell you this, that, despite it being my fetish, it still felt like shit. Despite it being my kink and my kink alone, it still felt like plastic/glass/synthetic/etc. It never felt like love. I really just needed him to desire me.

So, anyway, sex is weird. And even what you ask for may not be what you really want.
