Well that sucks.

Kev and Liz both referred to some couples who stay together, but I don't see how that applies. I'm still with my wife 5 years later and I know of a few (half a dozen) who are still together 5 years later out of hundreds who I've seen come through various forums.

The ones who managed to stay together had more respect for each other, better communications, and, usually children together - none of which I hear about as you describe your wife.

You're right that her bringing up old offenses of yours are to justify her current behavior. She's doing what she wants to be doing. Your behavior (past or present) doesn't change that. And what she wants to be doing right now, clearly, is her girlfriend.

Whether they're being sexual or not, her words and actions mean she is no longer emotionally or romantically attracted to you. That's sad for you, and may actually have been precipitated by the improvements you've made. Problems you've had in the past could be conveniently blamed on you. Now that it isn't the case, she may have had to do a little self-examination about what she DOES want. And like each of our spouses, what truly speaks to her is a gay partner. You can't win that battle, you have the wrong equipment.

But you can move on, heal from this and choose your own future. Good luck. -David
