I was searching for something in a book that will never exist. A book who tells someone's story of how they found gay porn all over but it turned out ok because of xyz. We all know that doesn't exist but when I was a newbie to this who bag of crap, I was determined that my story was different, mine would have a happy ending as soon as I found the "reason".

I remember coming across a book called something like On The Downlow. It mostly addressed that it's a big issue within the black community but a lot of the stories still applied to me. It was helpful but it still didn't pull me out of the tailspin of thinking I just hadn't found the answer yet.

I think you're right - I think writing story after story of how people found out and how it progressed and the clues they found might help people recognize that there is no happy ending, especially if you waste more time trying to find it. idk how you convey that to people because I can tell you from what I experienced that it didn't matter what people told me. Even though I KNEW something was wrong and my gut was screaming he's gay, it still took me years to walk out. Even when something would speak directly to me or give an exact example of my life like a passage in a book or a comment on this site, it didn't sink in until I was ready for it to sink in. Who knows what that mechanism is? I sure didn't. :(
