"For my part I am always comfortable with a male provider, and in fact prefer them to female care givers for the frisson of sexual energy they give me. I would think most male patients would feel the same way about female providers, and in fact if they don't get that subtle feeling of sexual pleasure similar to what I get"
Patients who confuse intimate medical care with sexuality and sexual pleasure -- they're the problem, Vicki. The problem isn't with people who don't want their medical care to be sexual in nature. Doctors and nurses are taught to deal with people like you. They's why the often have chaperones. You've made it pretty clear. It's not about self image. It's about you getting it off by seeking opposite gender care. You've twisted things around. Yours is the pathology.
