I agree-we are human beings first and patients second. Our minds and bodies react instinctively even though we may not take any overt actions based on these reactions.

It can be both exciting and embarassing at times.

Vicki, you are the first female I've ever heard admitting that the "frisson" exists. Most of the deny it, saying that they are not even slightly affected in that way during an examination or procedure requiring exposure. Most people, men included, react with a frisson as you do, but of course nobody acts on that feeling. And, until now, no one will admit it, either. Thanks for opening that hidden topic.
